675 Watt PowerColor Radeon R9 295X2 Devil 13 Graphics Card
AMD recently launched their AMD Radeon R9 295×2, which is currently the fastest graphics card on the market. Generally all the reviews were positive for the dual core behemoth, but PowerColor is about to take the 295×2 to the next level with their PowerColor Radeon R9 295X2 Devil 13.
Internally the R9 295X2 Devil 13 features the same dual “Hawaii XT” GPUs as the 295×2, giving it 176 texture mapping units and 64 ROPs equating to a total of 5632 cores. What makes this version different though is it comes with four 8-pin power connectors allowing it to pull in up to 675W of power. With the additional power PowerColor is able to increase the clock speeds making this the fastest 295×2 on the market, but the power draw is just insane.
The The PowerColor 295X2 Devil 13 graphics card also uses a custom air cooled heatsink that features three fans and a triple slot design. Overall the cooler is similar to other graphics cards in the Devil series, but PowerColor is using a new fan that has both wide and narrow airflow fins and the size of the heatsinks fin-stack is for lack of a better word simply massive.
The back of the PowerColor 295X2 Devil 13 has a large back-plate, which is good for a graphics card this size because it will prevent the PCB from bending. It will also help cool some of the ICs on the PCB as well.
