iBuyPower Steam Box Prototype Pictured
If you think Valve will be the only ones selling Steam Boxes think again. Engadget has just released some images of iBuyPower’s Stream box prototype, which is a SFF system running an early build of the Steam OS. The company wants to emphasis that these are simply early builds and things could change along the way, but for now there are two models in the works, codenamed Gordon and Freeman. The two consoles are identical, save for the light bar round the middle – one model’s is clear, while the other’s is black when not illuminated.

There was no mention of the hardware being used in the Steam Boxes, but the image has a watermark on the bottom left hand corner with CES 2014 on it. This means we should get more news on these products in January, when CES starts up in Las Vegas.
