MSI Teases Mini Gaming Series Products
If you are looking for a lot of performance in a small package MSI has the setup for you. Just a few days ago they posted their upcoming Gaming Series products on their Facebook page. The new gaming series gear includes both a motherboard and graphics card that feature a compact design and are known as the Z87I GAMING AC and GTX 760 GAMING OC ITX.
The Z87I GAMING AC is a mini-ITX motherboard that’s powered by the Intel Z87 chip and features Military Class 4 components, two DDR3 memory slots, five SATA 6.0 Gbps ports, one PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot, Killer E2200 NIC Ethernet, 7.1-channel audio (with Audio Boost technology), and even 802.11ac WiFi support.
The Graphics card though small in stature is based on the GTX 760 design giving it 1152 CUDA Cores, 96 TMUs and 32 ROPS. Additionally, it uses the GK104 architecture which is comprised of 64-bit memory controllers giving it a 256-bit wide memory bus with a peak memory bandwidth of 192.8GB/s. The performance of this card should be equal to that of the GTX 670. What is interesting though is just how similar the card looks to the ASUS 670 Mini – no doubt they bought the heatsink for the same thermal design company.
We don’t have any info on the pricing, or release date, but look for these bite sized monsters to hit the market soon.
