Oculus Showing off New Rift Kit at CES

Oculus Rift is one of the most exciting technologies coming down the pipe in 2014. The virtual reality headset offers a truly immersive gaming experience that is unrivaled with other technologies and even though it has not hit the market, Tom Forsyth, an ex-Valve software engineer just tweeted that they are going to be showing off an entirely new Rift kit at CES.

“We’re showing off the latest Rift kit at CES. Should be pretty interesting. I’m looking forward to the feedback.”

It is expected that the kit will be the latest HD prototype that supports resolutions up to 1920×1080 inside the Rift and the latency has been reduced from 60-70ms to just 10-20ms.
